Line up.

A wise old man once illustrated how sad America's participation in the democratic process was when compared to Iraq's participation. Iraqis vote even when death is threatened. We don't like to vote if it threatens to rain. But we aren't that bad; we're just seasoned veterans. It's kinda like this: You have heard about Krispy Kreme. Everybody talks about how great they are; then you hear one is comming to your town. Half of the town is excited and the other half protest with signs stating "we're fat enough already, keep your Dulce de Leche" and "your going to ruin our lunch with you Carmel Kreme Crunch" and finally the inevitable "Bush sucks." However, come opening day there is a line to the street waiting for the tasty treat. Now when it comes to voting we have lost the taste for it, or so it seems. In the year 2000 we had a 51% turnout while in 1876 we had an 82% turn out. It was hot fresh and we wanted it. So Iraq is making their mad dash to get theirs while its new and hot. We, as Americans are acting like voting isn't the cool thing anymore "voting, that's so 1840". But the novelty is nice and it's good to know that it is there if we want it. You know, the retro thing is in so that means Iraqis are the cool kids and we are the nerds planning stragities to avoid the crowds at Krisp Kreme, instead of voting.

Who da thunk it?

So many things go hand and hand, like peanut butter with jelly, Nelly with Tim McGraw and San Antonio with Mexicans.
Some things however are not as dynamic when they are associated with each other. We can find examples of this all over the place everyday; I'm talking worse than Tango & Cash. The latest one I have come across is a tasty soy sauce.
Who would have thought that Louisiana would have nailed this formula?

There she is. Posted by Hello

Duck, Duck, Duck, Turtle

Last nigh Arah showed off her ability to say turtle. This is probably going to be recorded as her first word although she did make a run at trying to say duck. I figure the two-syllable word should win out for the sake of clarity.

I wonder what we will tell her when she asks what her first was. Don’t get me wrong, turtle is cool; I mean, it’s better than mama and dada. But what if it was like sarsaparilla? That would be cool. I’ll be all like “yeah babe, you were 7 months old just chill’in on the couch watching Elmo and then you said sarsaparilla. You were cool like that.”

My first

Okay, this is my first blog.

Well, that wasn't so hard.
